Building bridges...

...is a lot like building a blog... one piece at a time while trying to keep it all tied together.

I set up another blog for AARO yesterday to coincide with the Overseas Americans Week which runs from April 13-18. The blog is called "Mr. Coyne goes to Washington". Andy Coyne is the Executive Vice-President of AARO.

In Andy's word, "OAW is the annual lobbying visit to Washington by the Association of Americans Resident Overseas (AARO), American Citizens Abroad (ACA) and the Federation of American Women's Clubs Overseas (FAWCO). That means that twenty of us will converge on Washington this weekend and spend April 13-18 begging, pleading and coercing members of Congress to do the right thing on our various issues, primarily voting, tax and the Americans Abroad Caucus."

Check out the websites above. At last count there were over 6.6 million Americans living abroad. We vote, we pay taxes and we deserve to have a voice!
